Portugal is set to receive a cargo from Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG export terminal in Louisiana.
According to the shipping data by the port of Sines, Golar Seal with the capacity to transport 160,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas is scheduled to arrive at the Sines LNG terminal on Friday, September 1.
The vessel, built by the South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries in 2013, departed the Sabine Pass LNG export facility on August 17, its AIS data shows.
The Sines LNG terminal, that mostly receives cargoes from Nigeria, Algeria and Qatar, was the first European facility to receive an LNG cargo produced from the US shale gas in April last year.
Portuguese facility has a nominal sendout capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
