Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) of South Korea is in talks to change the delivery dates of two liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers ordered by a European owner.

The extension was requested by the unnamed shipowner, according to a filing to the Korean stock exchange by the shipbuilding giant last week.

The LNG tanker duo was ordered back in October 2014 with a price tag of 428.6 billion Korean won ($379.3m), Daewoo said in the filing. The original contract term expired on August 31.

The shipbuilder did not provide any additional info saying that more details would be revealed once the negotiations were complete.

DSME is one of the world’s leading shipyards for the construction of LNG tankers. The shipbuilder delivered seven conventional-sized LNG carriers this year.
