French LNG terminal operator Elengy has boosted truck loading capacity at its Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG terminal on the French Atlantic coast.

The capacity has been increased to 18 LNG trucks loading per day, compared with 12 previously.

“An increase in capacity made possible especially by development work on the station and optimization of the loading schedule,” Elengy said in a statement.

The delivery of LNG by truck can meet the needs of off-grid industrial sites, filling stations for LNG as fuel for vehicles, or LNG bunkering of small vessels.

The development of this service allows to replace more polluting fuels by LNG, more economical and more ecological, to accompany the energy transition, Elengy noted in the statement.

Besides the Montoir terminal, Elengy also operates the Fos Tonkin and Fos Cavaou terminals on the shores of the Mediterranean.

Elengy is a unit of French utility and LNG player Engie and has 19 million tons per annum of natural gas regasification capacity and 840,000 cbm of LNG storage capacity.
