The Gate LNG terminal in the port of Rotterdam is to receive a fresh cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Statoil’s Hammerfest plant in Norway.
The 2006-built LNG carrier Arctic Princess with the capacity to transport up to 147,980-cbm is scheduled to arrive at the Gate terminal on September 11, according to the marine data provider VesselsValue.
The Moss type LNG carrier owned by Höegh LNG and chartered by Statoil left the Hammerfest export plant on Thursday, the data shows.
To remind, Dutch first LNG terminal received 686,000 mt of the chilled fuel during the January-June period, up by 18.5 percent from 2016.
On the other side, Gate’s exports of previously imported LNG dropped almost 32 percent to 192,000 mt in the first six months of this year.
Gate terminal, owned by Gasunie and Vopak, consists of three 180,000-cbm storage tanks and has an annual regasification capacity of 12 Bcm – equal to around 180 cargoes per year.
