Cheniere Energy Partners, a limited partnership formed by the US LNG export player Cheniere, increased the size of its previously announced offering of senior secured notes due 2025 to $1.5 billion.

The notes will bear interest at a rate of 5.250% per annum and will mature on October 1, 2025, the company said in a statement.

Cheniere Partners added that the notes were priced at par. The closing of the offering is expected on September 18, 2017.

The partnership intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to prepay a portion of the outstanding term loan indebtedness under its credit facilities.
