Wood Group’s 2.2 billion pounds purchase of London-based LNG engineer Amec Foster Wheeler has now cleared all regulatory hurdles following an approval by Mexico’s anti-trust commission.
Earlier this week, the UK’s competition watchdog approved the merger on September 12 after accepting proposals put forward by the duo to offload most of Amec Foster Wheeler’s UK upstream business to address competition concerns.
Wood Group said on Friday that following approval by the Mexican anti-trust commission it now considers all regulatory and third party clearance conditions have been satisfied.
The company expects to complete the acquisition on October 6.
