Marine Power Systems (MPS) is looking to expand its team with two new openings for engineering positions that will support the development of its WaveSub wave energy device.

The Swansea-based wave energy developer MPS is recruiting for a CAD Design Engineer who will work with both the in-house engineering team and supplier engineering departments to develop a full-scale mechanical design package of the WaveSub wave energy conversion device.

Also, the company is seeking a Test Engineer whose main focus will be to operate, monitor and report on the prototype WaveSub wave energy converter during sea trials.

Both positions will be based at MPS’ head office in Swansea, and will report to Chief Engineer.

MPS has been developing the WaveSub for the last nine years, which is currently in phase three of its development.

The company plans to launch a quarter-scale device later this year for operational sea-testing at the FaBTest site in Cornwall, UK.
