DesignPro Renewables is recruiting for the role of Renewables Electrical Systems Technician who would support the lead engineering team working on the development of hydrokinetic turbines.

DesignPro Renewables is recruiting for the role of Renewables Electrical Systems Technician who would support the lead engineering team working on the development of hydrokinetic turbines.

The key responsibilities for the role include assembly of turbine electrical components within the turbine deployment vessel, as well as their validation and inspection.

Also, the Electrical Systems Technician will work as onsite support during deployment and grid connection, according to DesignPro Renewables.

The job entails working with range of components such as power and communications, medium voltage switch gears, transformers, electrical tower internals, sensors, cabinets and cable harnesses.

DesignPro Renewables is a new start-up within the Ireland-based technology development company DesignPro.

The newly formed start-up is working on the design of hydrokinetic turbines utilizing GKinetic’s technology.

The company plans to take these turbines through the final development phase and to full commercialization by 2019.
