Bermuda-based Golar LNG on Thursday said the Iain Ross has been named as the company’s new CEO, replacing Oscar Spieler.
Spieler has been entrusted with delivering the FLNG Hilli Episeyo during his reign and tasked to search his successor following the delivery of the project.
Golar LNG noted that Spieler will remain with the company as an executive advisor to assist the newly appointed CEO Ross until charterers Perenco and SNH accept the FLNG Hilli Episeyo.
Ross joins Golar LNG from WorleyParsons where he held various executive level positions since 2002 including group managing director, development, an ExCo position with responsibility for leadership of the global hydrocarbons, power, infrastructure and mining sectors.
