Norwegian vessel owner Eidesvik has secured a contract with Adwen for the Viking Neptun for support work in the offshore wind market.

According to the Oslo-listed company, the contract start is mid-October 2017, and it is scheduled to last for 5 months firm with further options.

“I am very pleased with our organization’s ability to find employment for the Viking Neptun in the renewable market. This is the fourth contract Eidesvik has been awarded in the offshore wind market since the beginning of 2016,” says CEO Jan Fredrik Meling .

The commercial terms are said to be confidential between the parties.

Viking Neptun is a subsea construction vessel, and with its 145 meters the largest in the company’s fleet. It is equipped with 2 offshore cranes on 400T and 100T respectively and a carousel with a capacity of 4400T flexible pipes. The vessel’s first job was for Technip Norway, following its delivery in spring 2015.
