Minesto has awarded a framework agreement for onshore engineering services to the three Anglesey-based companies Holyhead Marine Services, Mona Lifting and Mon Maintenance.
The scope of the framework agreement covers a variety of onshore operations engineering support such as manufacturing, design, testing, repair and maintenance of mechanical structures, hydraulics, electrical cabling and composite materials.
It also includes engineering design and technical drafting/drawing support and independent compliancy verification of onshore operations such as contract lifting operations and/or other onshore operations requiring such verification.
The services are requested in support for Minesto’s Deep Green project in Holyhead and the framework agreement builds upon previous collaborations between Minesto and the three suppliers.
The Swedish tidal energy developer plans to deploy the 500kW Deep Green tidal power plant off North Wales in 2018.
