Golar LNG said that its FLNG Hilli Episeyo, world’s first FLNG conversion, has departed Keppel Shipyard in Singapore on Sunday.
Having successfully reached mechanical completion the floating liquefaction vessel has been moved to deep-water anchorage where Keppel Shipyard will complete final marine commissioning, Golar said in a statement on Monday.
To remind, the FLNG was recently bunkered by FueLNG, a joint venture between Keppel and Shell. This was the first commercial LNG bunker transfer in Singapore.
Hilli Episeyo, soon to become Cameroon’s first FLNG, is currently expected to leave Singapore between October 15 and October 20, according to Golar.
The voyage between Singapore and Cameroon is expected to take 32 to 40 days.
The FLNG was converted from a 1975 built Moss LNG carrier with a storage capacity of 125,000 cubic meters, by Keppel for LNG shipper Golar.
The Hilli Episeyo is designed for a liquefaction capacity of about 2.4 million tons of LNG per annum and will be put in operation offshore Kribi, Cameroon for Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures and Perenco Cameroon.
