The United Kingdom is due to receive another liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from the world’s largest producer of the fuel, Qatar.
The 210,000-cbm Q-Flex LNG vessel Al Karaana is expected to arrive at the UK’s South Hook LNG terminal on October 9, according to the Milford Haven Port Authority data.
Gas supply from the South Hook LNG terminal to the UK’s national grid was around 8.39 mcm/day a 13:00h local time on Monday, October 10, the National Grid data shows.
The South Hook terminal located on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway is owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total.
The terminal can process 15.6 million tons of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
