France’s Dunkirk LNG import terminal, the country’s fourth regasification facility, received another cargo of the chilled fuel on Monday.

This is the terminal’s second shipment within a month after the Arctic Lady delivered a cargo from Norway on September 19.

Prior to that, the import terminal did not receive any cargoes since May this year when it took a delivery also from Norway aboard the Meridian Spirit.

The latest cargo arrived from Qatar onboard the GDF Suez Point Fortin with the capacity to transport 154,200 cubic meters of LNG. The vessel is owned by a consortium led by Mitsui OSK Lines and operated by MOL for Engie under a twenty-year charter agreement.

This is the seventh commercial cargo for the Dunkirk LNG terminal that officially started operations on January 1.

Dunkerque LNG, the terminal operator, is 65 percent owned by France’s EDF, 25 percent by Belgium’s Fluxys and 10 percent by French Total.
