Bardot Group has appointed Xavier de Lastic to the position of Head of Financial Engineering for large projects.
Assuming the position in September, de Lastic has been tasked with the financial engineering of the major innovative projects of underwater energy infrastructures, Bardot Group informed.
After starting his career at Banque Populaire’s Inspection Générale and working as an analyst in BBVA bank in Paris, de Lastic worked from 2008 to 2011 within Egis Projects (Caisse des Dépôts Group).
In 2012, he took on the position of Head of Financing for the Aloe Energy Group in renewable energies.
Among other projects, French engineering company Bardot Group is also developing ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) projects.
The company plans to install the OTEC system in the Maldives by early 2018, and has recently launched an OTEC Lab facility which will be used for the optimization of its OTEC systems.
