Mathews County, VA, said in their latest release that Congressman Rob Wittman will hold a meeting later this week on the Mathews dredging issues and the removal of aids to navigation.
At the meeting, Wittman will discuss residents’ concerns about the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ lack of dredging in local waterways and the removal of aids to navigation by the U.S. Coast Guard.
Delegate Keith Hodges (R-Urbanna) and representatives of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Coast Guard are expected to be in attendance, Mathews County said in their announcement.
The dredge meeting will take place at the Piankatank Ruritan Club, 7138 Buckley Hall Road, Hudgins, on Friday, October 27, 2017, at 3:30.
