Dutch Marine Energy Centre (DMEC) has launched a tender for the management of its marine energy test sites in the Netherlands.

DMEC plans to enter into a three-year agreement for the management of its test sites and related supporting activities in the area of administration, licensing and technology development, the organization said.

The tender will be conducted via the multiple-party procedure and will not be sub-divided between parties, according to DMEC, which added it intends to select one party that can satisfy the full suite of activities outlined in the tender document.

DMEC has two test facilities, including an inshore testing facility in one of the sluice gates in the Afsluitdijk near Den Oever, and an offshore berth in the Marsdiep between Den Helder and the Wadden island of Texel.

The test sites are part of a European-wide testing infrastructure, and technology developers can receive funding to conduct trials at DMEC’s sites through the FORESEA and MaRINET2 projects.

The final deadline for the submission of applications has been set for November 24, 2017. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the organization for more details.

DMEC is a non-profit network and consulting organisation for the marine energy sector in the Netherlands.
