Dutch provider of offshore heavy lift and accommodation solutions Holding OOS International Group B.V. has signed a cooperation agreement with GSP Offshore B.V. (GSP) to pursue international offshore projects, mainly in the Russian region.

OOS International said last week that the cooperation agreement was signed with the intention to establish a long-term strategic partnership.

“OOS International and GSP have identified that their complementary areas of expertise may be combined to enable a more efficient way of delivering projects. Both parties wish to establish a collaborative working relationship, with the shared purpose to deliver a number of key prospects together for various clients,” the company added.

Gabriel Comanescu , representing GSP, and Léon Overdulve , representing OOS International, signed the cooperation agreement during a ceremony held in Bucharest.

GSP Holding and its affiliates provide a wide range of services supporting the oil & gas industry: offshore drilling, offshore construction, shipping, shipyards, aviation, engineering, logistics, catering and training.

“We are very pleased to enter into this strategic cooperation with GSP, a respectable company, and to strengthen our ties within the Russian region. During a visit to the premises of GSP, it became clear that they are ready for the next step to be taken within this industry. A strong partner enables OOS International to address new growth opportunities especially within the Russian area,” said Overdulve, chairman and CEO of OOS International.

Gabriel Comanescu, president and CEO of GSP Holding, added: “This partnership opens up new models for developing offshore and onshore projects. The first cooperation project has already been identified and is under evaluation. We see attractive market opportunities where we, in collaboration with OOS International, can deliver cost-effective solutions to our clients in the oil and gas sector.”
