French LNG containment systems specialist, GTT, received an order from Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding to design liquefied natural gas tanks for two floating storage and regasification units (FSRU).

The two vessels will be capable of operating as FSRUs as well as conventional LNG carriers, GTT said in a statement.

The Chinese shipyard is building the two vessels for Dynagas with delivery set for 2021.

GTT will design the LNG tanks of both units, each having a 174,000 cubic meter storage capacity.

The membrane cryogenic containment system NO96 GW will be used for the LNG storage on board. Currently, 14 vessels in operation and 42 on order use this technology, GTT said.
