Belgian offshore wind farm developer group Otary has launched a public call for tenders for the supply and installation of submarine high voltage cables on Mermaid and Seastar offshore wind farms.

The EPCI contract (engineering, procurement, construction, installation) would cover subsea cables and connection to the Belgian modular offshore grid.

In addition, the works may include future maintenance for a period to be further specified in the procurement documents.

The domain concessions for operation of wind farms are attributed to Seastar NV and Mermaid THV respectively, who appointed Otary to conduct the present procurement procedure on their behalf and for their account.

The deadline for submission of tenders has been set for November 28, 2017.

Mermaid and Seastar offshore wind farms are located in the outher edge of Belgian teritorial waters in the North Sea. Both wind farms are expected to start production in 2019 with capacity of 288 MW and 252 MW respectively.
