STR teams up with SENSYS for UXO detection

Subsea Technology & Rentals (STR) has formed strategic partnership with SENSYS to boost its UXO detection services for the offshore energy sector.

Subsea Technology & Rentals (STR) has formed strategic partnership with SENSYS to boost its UXO detection services for the offshore energy sector.

The agreement will provide STR’s global offshore energy customer base with access to SENSYS’s active and passive multi-channel unexploded ordnance (UXO) detection system, including ROV, ROTV or vessel deployed for underwater geophysical surveys, pin pointing and infrastructure monitoring.

Neil Jackson , Sales and Operations Manager at STR, said: “Our partnership with SENSYS highlights STR’s commitment to providing its clients with market leading technology. In particular, STR’s area of strength is in the support of its clients during the growth of the offshore renewables sector, which has resulted in a key focus on marine UXO operations and we see SENSYS products as a perfect offering in this important field offering field proven solutions.”

Wolfgang Süß, Managing Director at SENSYS, added: “We envisage this relationship will allow SENSYS to grow much faster from our well established land based markets and diversify into the subsea sector to cover a variety of sensitive applications requiring reliable state-of-the-art sensors and solutions.”

STR specializes in the design, production and rental of advanced subsea technology, while SENSYS provides geomagnetic and electromagnetic ground survey systems and components for land, aerial and marine environments.
