Swan Hunter has completed the demobilization of a flexlay spread from the Lewek Constellation pipelay vessel.

The 5500Te basket carousel and loading tower c/w tensioner were used to install flexible risers and flowlines for Eni Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) project in Ghana.

The multi-stage demobilization included interim offload onto storage barge in Ghana, HLV load-out and transportation to Rotterdam, offload onto barge and transportation to Vlissingen, and self propelled modular trailers (SPMT)/mobile crane load-in to final position at Dutch Offshore Contractors (DOC)–Swan Hunter storage and spooling yard.

The spread is now being re-commissioned on site at the DOC–Swan Hunter yard ahead of an upcoming cable spooling and storage project for an undisclosed client, the company informed.

Package manager, Hamish Cullens , said, “The demobilization and completion of the Eni OCTP project marks a notable achievement for Swan Hunter. The fast track project, awarded early 2017, set us a significant challenge, to design, build, mobilize, and commission our equipment ahead of spooling operations on the Lewek Constellation in May 2017. Careful planning, continued team effort, and reliable offshore equipment, has led to a successfully completed project.”
