ETIP Ocean has released a recording of the recently held webinar which featured experts from major wave energy companies who talked about technology developments in the wave energy sector.

The webinar, titled ‘Wave Power Take Off – Have we cracked it?’, explored the progress made in the last 5 years on the development of power take-off (PTO) systems for wave energy devices, and the ways forward for the industry.

The event was chaired by Henry Jeffrey from the University of Edinburgh with speakers from leading international wave energy companies giving their perspective on the sector development.

The speakers who presented during the webinar include Patrik Möller from CorPower Ocean, Kieran O’Brien from Carnegie Clean Energy, Alexander Martha from NEMOS, Richard Linley from Aquanet Power, and Luca Castellini from Umbra Cuscinetti.

The webinar was on October 25, 2017, as part of Ocean Energy Europe (OEE) 2017 Conference & Exhibition, held in Nantes, France.

ETIP Ocean, managed by Ocean Energy Europe and the University of Edinburgh, is regarded as an advisory body to the European Commission. It brings together around 250 experts from 150 organizations covering the entire European ocean energy sector.
