Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF on Monday announced several charter awards.
The company has, through its joint venture with Technip, secured a contract with McDermott for the pipelay support vessel Skandi Niteroi. The Brazilian-built vessel will work on the Atlanta project for Queiroz Galvão.
The vessel will start the contract in November. The contract has a duration of approximately two months.
Under the joint venture agreement, TechnipFMC is responsible for the engineering and management of the flexible pipelay, while Norskan S.A., a DOF ASA subsidiary, is responsible for the marine operations.
Separately, the company has via its subsidiary DOF Subsea subsidiary secured new contracts and extensions for three offshore support vessels.
In the Atlantic region, the contracts for Skandi Neptune and Skandi Constructor have been extended until the end of the year and end of January 2018, respectively.
Also, DOF has been awarded a contract for the provision of geotechnical services in Northern Australia securing utilisation for Skandi Hercules in Q1 2018.
The company did not reveal the identity of the clients for the three vessels.

Worth noting, DOF’s Skandi Darwin vessel has started working on Shell’s Prelude FLNG project in Australia, under the previously awarded contract.
