Gazprom in 1 billion euro loan deal with Japanese, US banks

Russian gas giant Gazprom has signed a 1 billion euros ($1.19 billion) loan agreement with Japan’s Mizuho Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking, as well as US-based JP Morgan Chase Bank. Russian gas giant Gazprom has signed a 1 billion euros ($1.19 billion) loan agreement with Japan’s Mizuho Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking, as well as US-based JP Morgan Chase Bank.

The loan signed in Tokyo on Tuesday has a five-year maturity, Gazprom said in a statement.

The signing of the deal “marked another step in Gazprom’s successful long-term cooperation with the aforementioned credit organizations,” the company said without providing any additional information.
