Hydroid, a subsidiary of Kongsberg Maritime and manufacturer of marine robotics, has appointed Dr. Andrew K. Rogers as vice president of engineering.

Rogers is a strategic corporate leader with more than twenty-eight years of experience that spans a broad range of technologies and markets.

In his new role, Rogers will lead all engineering and program management activities at Hydroid including research & development (R&D), new product development, program planning and execution, and product support.

Rogers most recently served as the president of DRIVE Solutions, a consulting and independent advisory company supporting several companies within the automotive autonomy, robotics, private equity, aerospace and defense industries. Prior to founding DRIVE Solutions, Rogers was the president of QinetiQ North America.

“Andy brings a wealth of industry experience, executive management and expertise in building innovative, customer-focused engineering, R&D and information technology businesses,” said Duane Fotheringham , president of Hydroid. “This is a great step forward to build upon the strong team we already have in place at Hydroid.”
