Buss Offshore Solutions will become a new shareholder of the offshore wind service company WINDEA Offshore on 1 January 2018, after the two companies recently reached an agreement on the details of the transaction and signed the relevant contracts.

As of the first day of 2018, Buss Group’s terminals and logistics services will supplement the offshore wind service portfolio of WINDEA Offshore, whose existing shareholders include Bernhard Schulte Offshore, EMS Maritime Offshore and SSC Wind EMEA.

“In search of strong partners for the future challenges in the offshore segment, we have found the right companies for long-term cooperation with WINDEA and its shareholders,” said Buss Offshore Solutions Managing Director Martin Schulz . “By joining WINDEA, we expect an enormous sales power but furthermore a gain in the area of comprehensive product development.”

WINDEA further stated that, in view of the newly acquired partner, it will concentrate even more on the targeted development and implementation of holistic installation and maintenance concepts for German and international offshore wind projects.
