A Dutch start-up Offshore Wind Innovators is gaining momentum and has reached its goal to attract 100 companies to join the network by year-end, as Martin Weissmann, Innovation Manager at Offshore Wind Innovators, hoped for.
The aim of Offshore Wind Innovators is to connect small and medium enterprises (SMEs) which have innovative ideas with corporates and investors, Weissmann said.
The network has recently awarded the finalists for their first ever offshore wind innovations award.
The companies in contention for the Innovation Award 2017 were ECE Offshore, Next Ocean and Jules Dock.
The three finalists presented their innovations during the Netherlands Offshore Wind Q-meeting of Siemens and Van Oord in Rotterdam on 6 December. Jules Dock and ECE Offshore were awarded with the jury and the public award.
