TechnipFMC has received an integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (iEPCI) contract from VNG Norge.
The contract covers the provision of subsea equipment including umbilicals, risers, flowlines and the subsea production system for the Fenja project, previously known as Pil & Bue.
VNG Norge submitted the Plan for Development and Operation of the Fenja field to the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy on Tuesday, December 19, 2017,.
Fenja is located in the Norwegian Sea and will be tied back to the Njord A platform for processing and storage and export via the Njord B ship.
The field contains recoverable resources of approximately 100 million barrels oil equivalents, mostly oil.
Hallvard Hasselknippe , president of TechnipFMC’s Subsea Projects, said: “This is TechnipFMC’s sixth iEPCI award and the largest one to date. It is also our first major integrated project award.

“The Fenja project will have the longest Electrically Trace Heated (ETH) pipeline in the world at 37 km, and will benefit from multiple TechnipFMC product groups and engineering locations.”
According to TechnipFMC, a ‘major’ contract is worth above USD 250 million.
