Cheniere’s Corpus Christi liquefaction project located on the U.S. Gulf Coast has reached 77.4 percent completion.
According to the Houston-based LNG player’s monthly report, the engineering is complete while the procurement progressed to 93.9 percent. Subcontract and direct hire construction work are 56.1 and 55.8 percent done, respectively.
During the month of November, construction continued on the permanent plant concrete, structural steel, aboveground pipe, electrical, instruments, and equipment installation, Cheniere’s report says.
Train 1 turbine stacks have been set during the month as well as waste heat recovery units and filter houses. The BOG/utility substation was energized and the work started on above ground pipe insulation, erection of process flare derrick structure, as well as the installation of Train 2 cryo rack air coolers installation.
Construction has turned 41 systems over to startup through the end of November, Cheniere said, adding that activities planned for the month of December progressing on schedule.
