Tidal developer Minesto is scouting out a suitable candidate to fill the role of project manager for the company.

Swedish-based company said the candidate will be central in the commercial roll-out of its technology going forward, by managing both development projects as well as end-client/commercial projects.

The overall responsibility for the post will be to deliver project results in form of hardware, software and supporting documentation against defined specifications, schedule and budget.

The role of project manager also covers all project aspects such as responsibility for planning, reporting, procurement, resource allocation, execution, testing, delivery, documentation and project finances.

The job is based in Gothenburg, but the role will include business trips to other Minesto sites as well as to key suppliers, and will report to the Chief Technology Officer, the company said.

The deadline for applications has been set for January 31, 2018.

Minesto was founded in 2007 as a spin-off from aircraft manufacturer Saab.

Today, with more than 55 employees and operations in Sweden, Wales and Northern Ireland, it is one of driving forces in the creation of an emerging tidal energy industry.

The company is also on track to deliver its first commercial project in Holyhead Deep, off the coast of North Wales.

The project will start with a 500kW Deep Green commercial-scale demonstrator planned for commissioning in 2018.
