Wilson Sons Ultratug Offshore has secured long term work for three of its vessels with the Brazilian oil giant Petrobras.
The offshore shipping company is a joint venture (JV) between the Brazilian shipbuilding company, Wilson Sons and Chilean services provider Ultramar.
Wilson Sons Ultratug Offshor has been awarded a two-year firm contract for the PSV Gaivota, with client option to extend the contract for an equal period. The contract is a result of a tender conducted in May 2017, in which WSUT ranked as first place for Brazilian-flagged vessels. The vessel will provide platform support and oil spill recovery services starting in May 2018.
Also, WSUT has also been awarded two new three-year firm contracts for the PSVs Mandrião and Pardela. Petrobras has options to extend the contracts for further two years.
The contracts are a result of a Petrobras tender conducted in January 2017, in which WSUT ranked as first and second place for Brazilian-flagged vessels. The vessels will provide shallow water diving support services starting in April 2018.
The commercial terms for all the contracts above are confidential between the parties.
