Tanker Helga Spirit got a frosty welcome as it approached Philadelphia at the beginning of January.
Owned by Bermuda-based Teekay Tankers, the 115,500 dwt ship departed Canada’s Port of Whiffen Head on December 22, arriving to Philadelphia fully laden on January 8, VesselsValue’s data shows.
Philadelphia has been facing inclement winter weather that caused the Aframax vessel to freeze.
Built at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) shipyard in 2005, Helga Spirit features a length of 250 meters and a width of 44 meters.
The Bahamas-flagged ship is still moored in the area, according to its recent AIS data.
