Sovcomflot’s Arc7 ice-class LNG tanker Christophe de Margerie is scheduled to deliver a Yamal liquefied natural gas cargo to the Dragon LNG terminal in the United Kingdom.

Shipping data from the Milford Haven Port Authority shows that the Arctic LNG carrier with the capacity to transport 172,600 cubic meter of the chilled fuel, is scheduled to arrive at the terminal on January 19.

The terminal at Waterston, Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire, is owned by Shell (50 percent) and Petronas (50 percent).

Christophe de Margerie loaded the first cargo at the Novatek-operated Yamal LNG project in the Russian Arctic that started shipping cargoes at the beginning of December last year. Novatek then informed that the first cargo was sold to a UK-based LNG unit of Malaysian energy giant , Petronas LNG UK Limited.

The first cargo landed at National Grid’s Grain LNG terminal where it was reloaded and shipped to the United States , as the data showed.

Sales from the Yamal LNG project on long-term contracts are expected to start in April this year.
