McDermott International has launched its first Digital Innovation Center in Pune, India.
McDermott’s key focus is to develop and utilize digital solutions to lead the transformation in offshore oil and gas projects, the company said.
The Digital Innovation Center will serve as a technology epicenter to support McDermott’s India plans for growth as well as support McDermott’s digital initiatives globally. The technology innovations will be primarily used to develop external solutions for the oil and gas market.
“ This facility has been developed as an expansion to McDermott’s operations in India, ” said Akash Khurana , McDermott vice president, chief information & digital officer. “The aim of the center is to cater to our current and prospective clients with the best possible digital technology in the EPCI space of offshore facilities and subsea fields.”
The Digital Innovation Center, spread across 5,400 sq. ft. space, will focus on three main areas – digital innovation delivery, digital product management and the digital experience.
