Carnegie Clean Energy is looking for an Approvals Officer to manage approvals and permitting activities for the Albany Wave Energy Project (AWEP) and future projects with approval requirements.
The scope of work for the position entails managing strategic planning and risk analysis associated with AWEP and future company projects’ environment & planning approvals, permits and consents processes, including assessment of environmental issues, challenges and compliance.
Carnegie said the Approvals Officer will be initially based in Belmont, Western Australia, to get familiar with the project, technology and the team, after which the position will be relocated to Albany.
The Approvals Officer is expected to be experienced in the field of approvals, permitting and community consultation to ensure consents are secured in a timely manner and with appropriate consideration of project stakeholders, according to Carnegie.
To remind, in October 2017 Carnegie secured Au$15.75 million ($12.2 million) from the Western Australian government for the delivery of the Albany project.
The AWEP project will involve the design, manufacturing and installation of a 1MW CETO 6 unit in Carnegie’s existing license area offshore Torbay and Sandpatch in Albany during the 2019/2020 summer weather window.
