Operator of ultra-deep diving construction vessels (DSCVs) Ultra Deep Solutions has said that its DSCV Van Gogh is on track for delivery in May this year.
Ultra Deep informed of the vessel’s progress through its social media channels on Tuesday.
The vessel was already awarded a five-year charter deal in the first week of December . UDS later revealed that the Van Gogh was hired by Malaysia’s Red Tech Offshore.
The 114 meters long and 23 meters wide vessel will support Red Tech in decommissioning and subsea programs around the region. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
The DSCV Van Gogh is a DNV-GL classed vessel which comes with an 18 men 300 msw Saturation system, Twin 18 men SPHLs, 120 POB, 150 t AHC crane to 3000 msw, built in DNV-GL Air Diving system, 2 x WROV in hangars that can work in 3000 msw and has over 19,000 HP.
The company has several other newbuilds not yet delivered. The Picasso recently finished its sea trials while the Andy Warhol and the Ultra Deep Matisse are expected to be delivered in 3Q 2018 and 1Q 2019, respectively.
In other related news, Ultra Deep recently launched the DSCV Andy Warhol and decided to exercise an option with China Merchants Heavy Industry for a new dive support construction vessel named the Kandinsky, which will be a sister vessel of the Deep Matisse.
