Dutch specialist in subsea cable logistics WIND has won a contract for the storage of 2 x 25km export cables for a wind farm in the Baltic Sea.

Services to be rendered under the contract consist of supply and mobilisation of a complete cable storage spread and load-outs from and to clients’ vessels, WIND said.

“We are thrilled that this new client to WIND has confided their project to us,” said Erik Thomas, director of WIND.

”We would like to thank our suppliers Offshore Cable Equipment and Dutch Steel Fabricators (carousel) and TMA Group (yard) for their support and are looking forward to another smooth project.”

Back in November, WIND won a contract for the storage of 4,000 tonnes of export cable for the BorWin3 project.
