Coda Octopus has released new 3D Connect integration platform for integration of the Echoscope 3D sonar range.

The 3D Connect give a single connection point for all Coda Octopus sonars, single and dual-axis rotators, above water camera and F180 series GPS and Motion sensors, the company explains.

The new 3D Connect is said to allow users to further simplify deployment of the Echoscope range of 3D sonars. It is supported in Coda Octopus software Underwater Survey Explorer (USE) and Construction Monitoring Software (CMS).

The 3D Connect aslo replaces the existing DIU-212 for CodaOctopus Underwater Inspection System (UIS) users and connects directly with any existing UIS deployment. It is directly compatible with the existing sensor cables used in the system, creating a simple, plug-in solution.

“For Hydrographic surveyors or construction customers, the 3D Connect is an alternative flexible solution to combine with an existing PC or laptop. The 3D Connects reduced size, requiring less space than equivalent Power Supply Units, delivers an adaptable solution for easy mounting in a variety of locations such as excavator cabins for breakwater projects, small survey vessels for port and harbour security and inspection and also Autonomous Surface Vehicles,” Coda Octopus said.
