The Exmouth Marina dredging project, aimed to collect mud from the bottom of the marina and drop it off at Sprey Point, started earlier this week.

The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) has granted a marine licence to Exmouth Marina in August 2017 for maintenance dredging of Exmouth Marina and disposal of materials at the Sprey Point disposal site.
A public consultation on the application was held in November 2016. As part of this process, views were also sought from the local planning and harbor authority which covers the marina, and the MMO’s primary advisers including Natural England, the Environment Agency, the Crown Estate and the Center for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science.
When the dredging operations are complete, boat owners should find access to the estuary much improved at all times.
