Ardmore Craig has completed modifications of a cable lay spread for an undisclosed client.
The company modified the cable lay spread design to allow integration of a new carousel and deck layout on the client’s vessel.
Following contract award in early 2018, Ardmore Craig completed the design, analysis and production of a series of manufacturing drawings over a 10-day period to allow the start of fabrication of new parts and modification on existing equipment.
The spread will be used on a forthcoming inter connector project in Scottish waters and a subsequent UK wind farm project, the company said.
