CorPower Ocean is looking to expand its team with two new job openings as the company gears up to enter its next stage with the development of full-scale wave energy converter.

Swedish wave energy developer CorPower Ocean has openings for Senior Software & Automation Engineer, and Senior Electrical Engineer – Power system for wave energy converters.

As a Senior Software & Automation Engineer for CorPower Ocean, the successful candidate will be a primary owner of the control and communication software of the company’s wave energy converter systems.

The scope of work for the position includes the verification and optimization of control functions on prototype equipment, as well as design and testing of data acquisition, safety and communication systems.

The Senior Electrical Engineer – Power system will be responsible for the design, build, testing, and certification of the electrical power systems within the wave energy converters and wave farms including generators, drives, control, energy storage, power distribution, subsea-connection and power transmission.

To remind, CorPower Ocean deployed the half-scale wave energy converter for trials in January 2018 at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC).
