Inspection provider for the oil and gas industry, Innospection, has appointed Alex Crossland as general manager based at the headquarters in Aberdeen.

The role at Innospection is a newly-created position following growth of the company and a strong backlog of work across onshore and topside, splash zone and subsea and pipeline inspection, Innospection explained.

Crossland brings with him more than 17 years’ experience, with more than 12 years spent in the oil and gas industry working for multi-national service companies and a major operator. Most recently he held the position of commercial director for the global service business at BHGE.

Alex Crossland , general manager, said: “I am very excited about the growth plans and ambitions of Innsospection. They have a fantastic range of innovative inspection technology and robotics, both developed and in development, which provides our customers with significant cost savings while reducing HSE and operational risks.
