Specialist Marine Consultants Ltd (SMC) opened their new office at OrbisEnergy, Lowestoft in January 2018.
Commenting on the opening of the new office, SMC’s Sales Operations Manager Gary Horner said: “Our office at OrbisEnergy, the Offshore Renewable Energy hub in Lowestoft provides Specialist Marine Consultants Limited with a permanent presence local to the area. This considerably enhances our ability in providing specialist solutions and support to existing and future Wind Farms Offshore East Anglia; and the energy sector as a whole.”
Horner will be based at OrbisEnergy, Lowestoft supporting projects in East Anglia and further afield.
Established in 2006 and headquartered in North Yorkshire, SMC provides project services and personnel to the offshore industry.
In 2009 the company won their first contract in offshore wind with Siemens Wind Power on Gunfleet Sands 1 +2. This saw SMC expand to serve multiple clients and projects throughout the UK and Europe.
