Houston-based oilfield services company Dril-Quip has been awarded a contract by Repsol to supply top tensioned riser (TTR) systems and related services for the Ca Rong Do project offshore Vietnam.
Dril-Quip said on Thursday that the contract was won by Dril-Quip Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, its wholly-owned subsidiary based in Singapore.
The company will provide a drilling TTR system and multiple TTR systems for the production, gas injection and water injection wells for the project.
The systems will include tieback connectors, tapered stress joints, riser joints, riser connectors, keel joints, tensioner joints, spool joints, flexible jumpers, surface wellheads, surface trees, control umbilicals, and tensioner systems.

The Ca Rong Do field development, located in Block 07/03 offshore southern Vietnam, will be developed by utilizing a tension leg wellhead platform (TLWP), a tender assisted drilling vessel, and a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
The platform will be located in a water depth of 320 meters and host up to 20 wells including oil production, water injection and gas injection.
Talisman, a subsidiary of Spanish oil company Repsol, is the operator of the field with PetroVietnam, Mubadala Petroleum, and PVEP as its partners.
Last year, Keppel secured a contract to provide engineering, technology, and construction management support services for the TLWP while Malaysia’s Yinson won a contract for the provision of an FPSO for the Ca Rong Do field.
