KW Designed Solutions have been awarded a contract by Siemens Subsea for the supply of a second pressure vessel.

This new pressure vessel will accompany the existing range of subsea electrical testing pressure vessels, previously supplied by KW Designed Solutions and will be used for the production testing of Siemens Subsea’s new fiber optic connector, DigiTRONf.

The vessel will be supplied with a bore size of Ø180mm x 1000mm depth; which provides an extra 600mm working capacity length to the bore, than the previously supplied vessel. The system will also incorporate internal tooling to allow the functional mate and de-mate testing of the connectors whilst under pressure.

“KW Designed Solutions is extremely pleased to be working with Siemens Subsea again and to further support the development and innovation of the subsea oil and gas industry,” the company said.
