Manora Logistics has started transporting the transition pieces for the 497MW Hohe See offshore wind farm from Antwerp, Belgium, to SIF’s terminal at Maasvlakte, the Netherlands.

According to Manora Logistics, three transports of the 460-ton TPs have been completed so far, with a couple to go in the coming months.

The structures are being produced by Sif in a joint venture with Smulders, where Sif is in charge of the primary steel and Smulders of the secondary steel and outfitting of the TPs.

The companies are expected to complete the production by mid-2018.

EnBW’s Hohe See offshore wind farm will comprise 71 Siemens Gamesa 7MW wind turbines located in the German North Sea. The wind farm is expected to be operational in 2019.
