Corinth Pipeworks has secured two orders with Subsea 7 to manufacture and supply steel pipes for Skogul and Aerfugl projects in the Norwegian Sea.

The orders cover polypropylene coated steel outer pipes for pipe-in-pipe flowlines for the two subsea tie-back projects to the floating production and offloading units (FPSOs) operated by AkerBP.

Corinth will supply 14” linepipe for the Skogul 18 kilometer gas pipeline and 16” linepipe for the Aerfugl 21 kilometer gas pipeline.

The pipes for the offshore pipeline will be manufactured in 2018 in Corinth Pipeworks’ HFI pipe mill located in Thisvi, Greece, the company informed.

Subsea 7 plans to conduct offshore installation by reel-lay in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

The Ærfugl (previously known as Snadd) gas field development is located approximately 210 km west of Sandnessjøen in the Norwegian Sea.

The Skogul project (previously called Storklakken) is located 220 km northwest of Stavanger.
