Utility ROV Services (URS) and EDT Ship Management have entered into an agreement in relation to the provision of boulder clearance services utilising the UTROV load bearing ROV system system and DP2 vessel, EDT Kennedy.

The services will be provided to clients as a permanently mobilized spread, inclusive of UTROV boulder clearance system and survey spread to provide a cost effective and highly productive boulder clearance spread to the UK and European renewables market.

URS will deliver the combined services to clients, with their track record and experience in offshore renewables, whilst EDT will provide the vessel, ship management and all associated support relating to the vessel.

Patrick Crawford , managing director of URS, explains: “URS have been looking to partner with a suitable vessel owner for some time, and we are pleased to enter this agreement with EDTSM. The EDT Kennedy is a perfect platform for the company, and EDT are well-established and highly respected in the vessel market. They have a shared vision of providing high quality services into the Renewables Market, at a cost base that is competitive, whilst delivering high productivity. This agreement allows us to provide a fantastic vessel spread for our clients, whilst also giving the company access to other EDT vessels, where required.”

The agreement is based on an initial 1 year period with options to extend.
