Hydrasun has supported Subsea Innovation in the development of the instrumentation systems and installation services for clamping technology to seal underwater pipelines in Perth, Australia.

In the event of pipeline failure or damage, the clamps are deployed to seal the pipe and prevent ingress of corroding sea water.

After Subsea Innovation manufactured the equipment, Hydrasun focused on the hydraulic aspects of the clamps by providing installation services, flushing and pressure testing.

Tony Reed , sales engineer at Hydrasun, said: “Hydrasun is pleased to be involved in such an innovative project which will be used on an international scale. The knowledge and experience of Hydrasun’s technicians and project engineers contributed to the quick and efficient delivery of the project.”

Paul Livingstone , business development manager at NOF Energy, said: “Hydrasun and Subsea Innovation are excellent examples of NOF Energy members who can collaborate to provide high-quality services for the offshore market. It is excellent to witness UK companies providing their services across the globe for new and innovative projects.”
